驚いたことにカスパロフではないのだ。しかし、シュタインの棋譜を見るとそれが理解できると

思う。危険を恐れず独創的な手を繰り出し続けたシュタイン。３回もソビエトチャンピオンになっ

たシュタインだが、１９７３年心臓発作のため３９歳の若さで亡くなり、チェス界は本当に偉大

な人間をなくしてしまった。私自身、一番見たい対局は、フィッシャー対カルポフ、カスパロフで

はなく、フィッシャー対シュタインの対局だった。
